[Section One: Game]What is 'Colour of the Phoenix'?It's an idea. That's about all it is right now. It's an idea (and probably the most expensive of my ideas) for an online role-playing environment. Well.. a game, more or less. But it's a little more complicated than most. [email protected]. UpdatesMarch 28th, 2002 [Section Two: Features]Game EngineBasically, the idea I've got is for an interactive GUI. One that has the same feel as a Tomb Raider game in terms of graphics and movement. All battles will take place in this environment, as well as talking and other such things. RacesRight now, there are six races planned. Each race has their own culture, tradition and strengths. Right now, all names are temporary, they're just being used to explain the _TYPE_ of race we're eventually going to develop. There are the humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, tenshi(angel-like beings) and the 'molemen' (Name extremely temporary). JobsHere's where it gets interesting. Rather than choosing a job, you just choose a race. It depends on what you DO that chooses your job. I'm not talking about basic jobs such as warrior or monk, I'm talking jobs like merchant, farmer, architect, warlord, miner, lumberjack. Killing bad guys isn't the only way to earn money and experience in this game. :) The LandsThe planned world for CoTP is large... No, I don't think you get me... I mean LARGE. I'm talking the scale size of Australia LARGE. Basically, as plans are, there are two main continents. The first, in which all players will start the game have twelve cities. Two cities per race. This game starts at the discovery of a second, much larger continent which is entirely uninhabited, except for six small colonies. One for each race. BuildingsHere's where this game gets even more interesting. You can build things. I'm not talking little things, I'm talking large-scale. I'm talking buying a plot of land and building a house. I'm talking buying more land and turning it into a village. Have your friends live in the village and turn it into a town, a city, a metropolis. Most of all... there are no limits. (Which makes the whole scale-sized of Australia thing make more sense.) CountriesYup, you can start your own country. Declare seperation from your own and start one. Here's the thing, though... Countries will not be listed unless there are at least ten people and a town claiming that nationality. Seperationism also costs money.
